This is amazing, in a western part of Ukraine, Carpathian mountains region, we make those with plums only. And we also serve them with sour cream in addition to butter+breadcrumbs mixture.

P.S. These (or plum dumplings) are Andras' VERY favorite treat from home. Can you believe I've never made them for him? His mother takes care of it when we go home. leaving early August for Hungary.... xx

Apricots are my favorite fruit. I have memories of eating them by the kilo when I was a kid. These dumplings look luscious! I can relate to cooking/baking by memory and intuition, without a recipe. There’s something magical about how it always comes together.
