It’s more practical to use shop-bought, especially if you have a preferred brand that makes good quality puff pastry. I hope you’ll like the recipe.

This reminds me of the savory cabbage pies from Bihor! I am from Moldova so when I first moved there I was surprised by their tangy aroma. My bf's grandma also makes some kind of hand pies filled with savoury cabbage and black peppercorns. I'm convinced I will love this strudel recipe❤

Yes, there are pies filled with cabbage in Moldavia and Transylvania, called vărzări, pupuri or plăcinte cu varză, made with bread dough as opposed to shortcurst, puff or even filo pastry. I mentioned them in one of my previous posts about griddle breads...x What do you call them in Bihor?
